Caliper Profiling Workshop

This Workshop aims to provide participants with the knowledge and familiarity of the Caliper Profile so that they would be able to maximize the use of this personality assessment tool in the employee hiring and development process.

By the end of the Workshop, participants should be able to:

  • Understand what the Caliper Profile measures.
  • Make a preliminary assessment of job matching and developmental needs for candidates and employees profiled.
  • Support business managers in their hiring decisions in discussions with Caliper Consultants.
  • Apply the use of the Caliper Profile in areas beyond selection and developmental feedback.

Caliper Accreditation Workshop for HR Professionals

10 – 12 April 2012

This Workshop is aimed at accrediting participants in the use of the Caliper Profile in their HR and talent management practice, including recruitment/selection, employee training and development, and teambuilding.

By the end of the Workshop, participants should be able to:

  • Understand what the Caliper Profile measures.
  • Interpret the Profile with regard to motivational potential, developmental opportunities as well as job match/fit of individuals.
  • Provide developmental feedback and coaching to others based on their Caliper Profile results.
  • Analyze the learning needs of individuals and teams.

Accreditation entitles the individual to:

  • Administer and employ the Caliper Profile instrument as well as interpret Caliper Profile results in their HR practice and consulting.
  • Receive regular Caliper updates, white papers, articles, scientific publications and books.
  • Be supported by experienced Caliper consultants in developing their HR practice using the Caliper Profile.
  • Participate in a community of Caliper accredited consultants/HR practitioners, with periodic sessions for networking and idea exchange.

Pre-Workshop Preparation:

  • Caliper Profile assessment with a 40-minute one-on-one telephone feedback of results with a Caliper Consultant
  • Light written exercises and readings: A complimentary copy each of Caliper's How to Hire and Develop Your Next Top Performer (2001) and Succeed on Your Own Terms (2006) will be provided to workshop participants

Workshop Content:

  • Concepts of job-matching, performance and potential
  • Understanding personality traits, work behaviors and competencies
  • Interpreting profiles (difficulty levels 1 to 3)
  • Feedback process and skills
  • Using the Caliper Profile in individual and organizational development, coaching and team analysis

Post-Workshop Assessment and Practice:

  • Participants will be guided in their review of learning after the Workshop through two written assessments.
  • They will be given two complimentary Caliper Profile assessments to practise interpretation and feedback.
  • They will be supported and guided by experienced Caliper Consultants in the effort.

Caliper Singapore just ran a successful series of workshops in December 2011 – Caliper Profiling Workshop (7 December 2011), Caliper Accreditation Workshop (7 – 9 December 2011) and Caliper Consultants Workshop (10 December 2011), all held at the Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre, as well as an in-house Presentation Skills Workshop for a key client held at the York Hotel. Participants included those from the electronics, food manufacturing, packaging, banking, technology and other service industries, as well as the public sector.
